Delphon Receives Best Practices Award

HAYWARD, CA, MAY 2, 2007: Delphon Industries, a provider of materials and services for the shipping, processing, and packaging of high value technology components, was presented with an award for Outstanding Efforts to Foster Employee Health and Well-Being While Enhancing Organizational Performance by the California Psychological Association. The award was announced at the 2007 California Psychological Association Convention Awards Presentation, April 12, 2007. Delphon Industries operates three divisions, Gel-Pak, Quik-Pak and TouchMark that together employ over 100 people. “Our employees are the cornerstone of our success as a business,” said Jeanne Beacham, President and CEO of Delphon Industries. “Their happiness and growth is always a priority.”
The award program was designed to recognize organizations that make a commitment to programs and opportunities that promote employee diversity and training. The Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award has been presented to organizations by state psychological associations with support from the American Psychological Association. The award program highlights a variety of workplaces, both large and small, profit and nonprofit, from diverse geographical settings. Nominations were solicited through contacts with Chambers of Commerce, public and community radio stations, Assembly and Senate district offices, CPA Chapters, members of CPA’s divisions of Organization and Consulting Psychology, Society for Human Resource Management chapters, and the Employee Assistance Professional Associations.
