For more than 40 years, Gel-Pak has manufactured elastomer coated boxes, trays, slides, and films that are used to protect and immobilize valuable devices during shipping, handling, and processing. • The patented LCS2 Lid/Clip system was designed by Gel-Pak and BAE Systems to prevent thin semiconductor components from migrating out of the pockets of traditional waffle pack chip trays. The LCS2™ consists of a padded, static dissipative gold lid and a highly engineered gold clip that uniformly compresses the tray and lid together to seal each waffle pack pocket. This lid/clip system has been proven to eliminate migration issues and save millions in rework labor and yield loss.
• The Gel-Pak TXF film carrier uses a unique micro texture to secure and protect fragile devices using non-adhesive holding forces. The product offers a clean method of holding components by only touching 2% of a device’s surface, which significantly reduces residue.
• Gel-Pak’s VRP and APV device carriers offer the same form and function as traditional Gel-Pak products, yet are made using a silicone-free, static dissipative elastomer that holds fragile components in place.
