Management Team

Jeanne Beacham, CEO

Jeanne Beacham is President and CEO of Delphon Industries, LLC, a materials manufacturing and service company to the Semiconductor and Medical Device Industries. Delphon has Divisions Gel-Pak, Quik-Pak, TouchMark and UltraTape, with offices in Hayward and San Diego, CA, Salem, Oregon and St. Albans, Vermont. Global Customer Sales support and distribution include direct sales along with Manufacturing Reps and International Distributors, Delphon offers global sales and service support.

Jeanne joined Vichem Corporation in 1994 as Vice President of Marketing and Sales of GEL-PAK, responsible for worldwide sales, marketing, and strategic alliances. In December 1997, she led a management buyout of GEL-PAK and in July 2000, acquired Silicon Packaging Technology in San Diego - creating Quik-Pak as a new division of GEL-PAK. In 2004 Jeanne restructured the company under Delphon Industries to establish a platform to grow the company by both acquisition and organic growth. In 2005 Delphon acquired TouchMark, a high precision Medical Device Pad Printing business serving medical and semiconductor industries. In 2007 Delphon acquired UltraTape, a cleanroom tape manufacturer located in Salem, OR. The most recent acquisition of the three business units was of Aguila Technologies which merged into Quik-Pak expanding the services to include laser micromachining, flip chip and CZT.

Recently Jeanne was given the Diamond Leadership Award and East Bay Women of Distinction Award. Jeanne also received an award from the San Jose Business Journal as one of the most influential women in business in Silicon Valley and Woman of Distinction in Technology. Delphon was named by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Top Women Owned business in the Bay Area. She is a member of the Sales and Marketing Executive Council of SEMI, is an Advisory Board member of the Kellogg School of Management’s Master of Management and Manufacturing Program. Jeanne gave the Commencement address to the Engineering school in June 2005 and participated in a guest lecture series at Kellogg. She has also been a guest speaker at Oracle, VWR, GWAN, Nawbo and SMECS along with several mentoring programs.

Jeanne is a Past President of the Silicon Valley Chapter of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) and a founding member of SWAN (Semiconductor Women’s Alliance Network).. She is also on the advisory board of Owens Design and SMECS (Sales, Marketing Executie Counsel for Semi).

Prior to GEL-PAK, Jeanne was the Marketing Manager at Tencor Instruments and spent 10 years at IBM in Essex Junction, VT, in a variety of engineering and management positions where she received multiple distinguished engineering awards, and publications. Jeanne received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University.


Jim Bly, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Recruited by Jeanne Beacham as apart of the LBO of Vichem, Jim joined the company in 1998 as the CFO. Jim’s responsibilities include all aspects of accounting, human resources, infrastructure, acquisitions, and handling all legal matters.

Jim started his career in public accounting working for Irvin Abrahamson in Palo Alto from 1974 to 1984, handling management services and acting as a “roving” controller. In 1984 he joined Norcal Tec a $22M, 330 person printed circuit board manufacturer as the VP of Finance. Jim then joined the start up JetFax in 1988 as VP Operations. In 1991 was hired by Park Scientific as the VP and CFO for that Atomic Force Microscope company and in 1998 sold the $16M company to ThermoElectron.

Jim graduated from UC Berkeley in 1974 with a BS Business Administration and an emphasis in Accounting. In 1988 he graduated from Golden Gate University with an MBA in Finance.


Darby Davis, Director of Sales and Marketing

Darby joined Gel-Pak in 1999 as the International Manager and now holds the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for Delphon Industries. Prior to Gel-Pak, he was a Product Marketing Manager for LAM Research and Asia Account Manager for OnTrak Systems responsible for sales and marketing of Semiconductor front-end capital equipment. His engineering experience is as a Senior Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer for Lockheed Missiles and Space (LMSC) and as a Structural Dynamics Engineer for Westinghouse Electric (WEC) supporting military and aerospace programs over a 14 year period.

Darby was recently involved in the TEC/Vistage professional development organization for several years and is a co-inventor for the Gel-Pak patent on Multiple Segment Vacuum Release Handing Device, with additional patents still pending. While at Lockheed he was the recipient of a NASA Group Achievement Award, LMSC Pursuit of Excellence Award, and two LMSC Superior Achievement Awards. He has authored 3 publications and 2 technical papers on spacecraft structural dynamic. Darby has a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University and has completed several professional courses related to semiconductor sales and marketing.


Philip Haseltine, Director of Manufacturing

Philip joined Gel-Pak in 1998 and now serves as Director of Manufacturing for Delphon Industries. As Director he oversees all manufacturing operations across Delphon driving improved yield and productivity. Philip has been instrumental in the implementation of integrated accounting/MRP systems and drives cost reductions and inventory control. Philip is the co inventor in patent for Multiple Segment Vacuum Release Handing Device with other patents pending. Prior to Gel-Pak, held several positions including Sales Manager and Materials Manager for Park Scientific Instruments from 1989-1998. Prior to Park Scientific Instruments, held positions in machining shop, manufacturing, and sales organizations.

Philip graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory and received a BS in Business Administration from San Jose University. He obtained Lean Six Sigma certification from Kellogg School of Management. Philip is the Delphon Lean Enterprise and Continuous Improvement Program champion and is driving the ISO in manufacturing. Philip is a member of several professional organizations: APICS, SME, SPE and SGIA.


Claudia Allison, Director of Materials and Technology

Claudia joined Gel-Pak in 1998 has held technical positions including Senior Chemist, Process Development Manager and now serves as Delphon’s Director of Materials and Technology. She has successfully develop new processes and materials and was issued a patent Multiple Segment Vacuum Release Handling Device and others are pending. Prior to Gel-Pak, she was a technical aid with 3M, where she worked in development and was granted a patent on Microporous Materials.

Claudia holds a BA in Chemistry and Biology from the University of St Thomas, St Paul, MN, a MS in Polymers and Coatings Science from North Dakota State University, and a Certificate in Business Administration from Berkeley. She continues to increase her technical skills: NuSil Technology Silicone Institute, 2009; Statistics for Quality, Golden Gate Polymer Forum, 2008; TA Instruments Rheology, 2007; Adhesives and Adhesion Bonding Technology University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, 2000; Instron 5550 Course, 2000; Micro contamination & Characterization for the Disk Drive Industry, IDEMA, 1999; ISO Internal Auditor, 1999. Claudia is also and active board member of the Golden Gate Polymer Forum.
